My Drug~~~

Things will never be the same,
No matter how much you wish it,
You're different,
I'm changed...
There's no getting around that.
You want me back,
So work, boy,
Work your way over my wall that you built for yourself,
You hear that?
I won't give in,
So you better work hard or leave while I’m ahead.
Seeing you there,
Hearing your voice,
It’s terrifying and beautiful at the same time,
The familiar sound and sweet chime,
That I adored before,
It left and now it’s here…
Why’d you come back,
Again you call me ’dear’.
You say you didn’t mean it…
I have a hard time believing,
You act as if nothing happened,
I gave you my all and you threw it away…
I feel a sense of betrayal that I know I can’t sway,
Your mood swings from here to there and yet you say,
That you need me like a drunk needs beer…
You’re like a drug to my pain,
Why is your love such a strain?
I can’t believe that I still want you,
It tears me apart…
Help me see that you’ll hurt my heart,
No, never mind, let me be,
I finally see,
I don’t need you, even if you need me.
